⚡️Vertical SaaS + Embedded AI: Why This Combination Is Delivering Real Results

Last fall, I shared a few thoughts on our portfolio company Nymbl Systems‘ launch of 🧠 AI Notes, and why embedding AI directly into the vertical system of record (“SOR”) is one of the most effective ways to unlock real value for professionals in niche industries.

In recent months, we’re seeing the embedded AI opportunity in vertical SaaS continue to pick up pace across our investment portfolio.

🚀 Last week, our portfolio company Jane App (software for allied health practitioners) launched AI Scribe: a real-time documentation assistant, fully embedded into clinicians’ daily workflows.

Early feedback has been enthusiastic:

That said, AI is no longer just a feature – it’s becoming table stakes. Core platforms that fail to integrate AI risk falling behind.

While we remain excited about embedded AI within modern VSaaS platforms, we’re also closely watching the rise of AI-native challengers in certain industries. Some may leapfrog legacy systems entirely – especially where innovation has stalled.
